Past AMBER Alerts

  1. Drake Boyd, 7 months, was allegedly abducted by his father, David Jackson from Greenville, Tennessee on July 11, 2010. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Poster Partners Program, as of July 20, 2010 Drake had been located safe.
  2. Shaniya Nicole Davis, 5, was last seen at her Fayetteville, North Carolina home by her mother at 5:30 a.m. on November 10, 2009. Her mother called police to report the disappearance and an AMBER Alert was issued. The first arrest in the case came when the boyfriend of Shaniya's mother, Clarence Coe, was arrested for kidnapping the child. Police said a witness had observed Coe leaving the area with the child. However, the next day, an employee at a Sanford, North Carolina hotel called authorities stating he thought he had seen Shaniya with a black male at the hotel. Police went to the hotel, but the suspect had left the area. Authorities were able to view surveillence video that showed the suspect with Shaniya and carrying her in his arms. The next day they took Mario Andrette McNeil, the individual believed to be on the video with Shaniy, into custody and charged him with kidnapping. The next day authorities arrested Shaniya's mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, charging her with human trafficking, felony child abuse - prostitution, resisting a police officer, and filing a false report. Police were given a tip on the afternoon of Monday November, 16 that led them to Shaniya's partially clad body. She had been dumped off the side of the road. As of this writing no one has been charged with her murder.

  3. A'dryn Drummond missing from Williamsport, Pennsylvania was located unharmed on 10.08.09. Her alleged abductor, Johnnie Drummond is in custody.
  4. Melvin Duclos, 25 days old, was abducted from his Jacksonville, Florida home on March 2, 2010 by an unknown black female posing as a child welfare worker. She told the parents they were being investigated and she had to take the child from them as part of the investigation. A few hours after the woman left the parents realized their child had been abducted and they phoned police. Police were able to locate the woman because she left one fingerprint inside of the home of the parents. Jasmine White, 19, told police the little boy was her daughter. She was arrested and charged with kidnapping and interference with custody. Little Melvin was returned, unharmed, to his parents.

  5. Jalleel Xamir Howard, 4 months, was allegedly abducted by his non-custodial father, Lonnie Buchanan, 41. The alleged abduction took place on July 27, 2010 in the parking lot of a Monroe, North Carolina doctor's office. The mother was putting the child in the car when she was approached by a white female who distracted her so Buchanan could snatch the child.
    Following a traffic stop on July 27 in South Carolina, Buchanan grabbed the child and ran into the surrounding wooded area, leaving his accomplice in the vehicle. The child and suspect were recovered from the woods after several hours. Jalleel was checked out a hosptial and reunited with his mother. Buchanan and his accomplice, Beulah Marie Steen, 23, were taken into custody and charged with kidnapping.

  6. Aveion Malik Lewis, 2, was reported missing by his step-father, Brandon Lockett, on January 14, 2010. He claimed that intruders broke into his Roanoke, Virginia home, knocked him unconscious, bound and gagged a four-year-old step-daughter and abducted Aveion. A ransom note was left in the home demanding $10.000. His wife and the mother of the children was allegedly not at home at the time of the abduction. Police called the FBI into the case early on and an aggressive search was conducted to try and find Aveion, including issuing and AMBER Alert. Investigators determined late on the afternoon of January 19 that Lockett's accounts of the abduction were becoming conflicted. He finally admitted to authorities that Aveion was dead before the 911 call was made. Lockett is currently in custody, and is charged with felony child neglect, improper disposal of a body and filing a false police report. Aveion's body was located January 27 in a Roanoke, Virginia landfill.

  7. Evan Luangsombath, 3, was allegedly abducted by his uncle, Jeffrey Strickland, from Tucker, Georgia on April 13, 2010. He was supposed to drop his nephew off at a church daycare center; however, Evan never arrived. He was believed to be in extreme danger because his family believed Strickland to be mentally unstable. Strickland showed up with Evan at a home in DeKalb county on the morning of April 15. It was there that Evan was reunited with his parents and Strickland was taken into police custody and charged with kidnapping and interference with custody. He will be undergoing a mental health evaluation because of some of the statements he made to police following his arrest.

  8. Caydence Gonzales, 2, and Isabel Martinez, 3, were allegedly abducted by their mother, Meccinna Dufore, from legal guardian's Humble, Texas home on January 25, 2010. Meccinna Dufore's parental rights were terminated due to her problems with drug addiction and self-harming behavior. An AMBER Alert was issued on January 25 for the children. The FBI located the unharmed children with their mother in Ironton, Ohio on January 28, 2010. Their mother was taken into custody.

  9. Christian Guevera, 4, was last seen at his Mableton, Georgia home on February 4, 2010. He was allegedly abducted by two unknown Hispanic males. The alleged abductors assaulted Christian's mother before abducting the child. According to the child's grandfather, the men demanded $1,000 for Christian's return.
    Christian was located safe late Thursday afternoon at an apartment complex in Norcross, Georgia. Two people were immediately taken into custody. Family members said the alleged abductors cut Christian's hair.

  10. Hannah Lynn Harrigan, 4, was last seen on February 12, 2010 at 5655 Telegraph Road, Elkton, Maryland. She was in the company of Peter Jyles Pelletier, a 32-year-old white male relative. An AMBER Alert was issued for Hannah. Authorities canceled the AMBER Alert just before 3 a.m. on February 13. Hannah was located safe and the suspect was taken into custody.

  11. Angel Miguel Perez, 1 month, was reported abducted from a parked car. His mother told police she left Angel in the vehicle with the engine running outside of the post office. She ran inside and mailed her items when she came out her son was gone. A witness saw a black woman running across the parking lot with the a baby. An AMBER Alert was issued for South Carolina. Contact numbers and an e-mail contact address was set up to filter tips. The FBI offered a reward. The phone numbers helped because two tips led to the identity and location of baby Angel and the suspect, Andrea Samone Walker, 19. According to police, Walker showed up at the home of an acquaintance with baby Angel. She/He became suspicous and looked to the Internet for current AMBER Alerts, found Angel's AMBER Alert, and called police. Walker was taken into custody without incident and Angel Perez was reunited with his mother and father Wednesday morning after he was medically cleared.

  12. Alyssa Rehfield, 16, was last seen at her Pecan Grove home on the night of July 26, 2010. She was believed to be in the company of David Karan, 36, a person she met over the Internet. Alyssa was located safe and in the company of Karan on July 29, 2010 in Raton, New Mexico. Raton is near the New Mexico-Colorado border. Karan was taken into custody and is being held in Raton on a warrant from Harris County, Texas. The charge is enticing a minor.

  13. Mitchell Romero, 3, missing from Denver City, Texas died in an automobile accident in Mexico in November 2009. His father, Mario Romero, is still wanted for the murder of Mitchell's mother.
  14. Eddie Salazar, 8 months, was reported missing from his Carthage, Missouri home on February 4, 2010. According to Eddie's father, Eddie Salazar, his son was abducted after intruders knocked him unconscious.
    Police arrested the boy's father on February 5 and charged him with filing a false police report. What is believed to be baby Eddie's body was found in Spring River, east of Carthage. Police say a tip led them to the location of the body.

  15. Tara Renee Simhiser, 17, from Topeka, Kansas was located located unharmed on 10.22.09. Her alleged abductor, 21-year-old Rojelio Hernandez was taken into custody.
  16. Somer Renee Thompson, 8, from Orange Park, Florida was located deceased in a Georgia landfill on 10.21.09.
  17. Hailey Traynham, 2, was allegedly abducted by her father, Gary Traynham, on November 9, 2009 after he assaulted Hailey's mother. An AMBER Alert was activated for Maine, Vermont, and finally New Hampshire. A hunter spotted the truck described in the AMBER Alert late on the evening of November 10. Traynham and his daughter were sitting in the truck deep in the woods in Milton, New Hampshire. The hunter approached the truck and finally talked Traynham into surrendering to authorities. He accompanied the hunter to a nearby house where authorities were called. Traynham was taken into custody and Hailey was returned to her mother.

  18. Haley Willett from Owensboro, Kentucky was located unharmed on 09.27.09 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Her alleged abductor, Archie Whalen is in custody.
  19. Jarez Wilson, Jr., 15 months was foribly taken by his father, Jarez Wilson, from his Omaha, Nebraska home on the morning of December 24, 2009. Police quickly located the rental car used in the abduction using the vehicle's "On-Star" feature; however, the car was empty. A few hours later Jarez was located and was checked out by emergency services. The abductor, Jarez Wilson is still at large as of this writing.
